Designed for incredibly smooth sliding on the rope, both during the ascent and descent phases. Performance can be further improved by using the Rope Surfer device.
Wear on the rope during use is virtually eliminated; Damage to the sock and the consequences for the user following a fall are reduced to a minimum thanks to the low stopping force.
A special webbing or rope is available for the extension (supplied separately) and no energy absorber is necessary.
Two operating modes: fall arrest and ascent lock, selectable with a simple button.
Certifications: - EN 12841A/B for use in rope access as a fall arrest device for the safety rope or as a work line ascender, for people up to 120 kg; can also be used in rescue situations up to 200 kg; - EN 353-2 for use as a fall arrest device combined with the appropriate certified ropes, for users up to 120 kg: - ANSI Z359.1 for use as a fall arrest device combined with Lithium 11 mm loop rope, for workers up to 136 kg / 300 lbs. UPDATE 2023: - EN 353-2 certification increased up to 150 kg max (for connection with carabiner); - PPE-R/11.075 certification for horizontal/inclined use on edges in combination with Iridium 10.5 mm (110 kg max) and Iridium 11 mm (120 kg max) ropes; - Possibility of use with oval carabiners also in aluminum alloy, as well as steel.
