GIANT multifunctional descender

Giant is the innovative multifunctional descender, developed to satisfy the most demanding rope work and technical rescue specialists.
The operating mechanism, the incomparable robustness of the hot forged aluminum alloy structure and the particular ergonomic shape of the lever give Giant exceptional controllability even with high loads, up to 250 kg/two people.
In addition to being a descender for rope access and rescue, Giant is certified and therefore can also be used as a fall arrest device (for example during passages of splits), as an ascender characterized by great smoothness and as a belay device for climbing.
The operating lever is equipped with:
- anti-panic safety system, which stops the descent in case of excessive pressure on the lever by the user;
- gradual additional locking function, perfect for pauses on the descent.
A button allows you to act directly on the cam for rapid sliding of the rope in situations of limited or no load.
Thanks to the opening flange with safety lever, it is possible to insert the rope without detaching the carabiner.
The large attachment hole allows the insertion of a second carabiner, in order to make the two flanges non-openable. The circular rope housing, combined with the evident internal and external marking, allows for simple and intuitive installation.
Giant is the only rope tool to have obtained such a high number of certifications:
- EN 12841: rope access device for semi-statics from 10 to 11.5 mm;
- Type C: working line descender for loads up to 250 kg (from 11 to 11.5 mm) or 210 kg (from 10 to 10.9 mm);
- Type B: working line ascender for loads up to 250 kg (from 11 to 11.5 mm) or 210 kg (from 10 to 10.9 mm);
- Type A: fall arrester for the safety line for loads up to 120 kg.
- EN 341/2A: rescue and evacuation descender for 10.5 mm semi-static rope (Iridium 10.5 mm) for loads up to 200 kg.
- ANSI/ASSE Z359.4: rescue and evacuation descender for 11 mm semi-static rope (Iridium 11 mm).
- EN 15151-1: belay device for climbing from below on structures with mountaineering technique with dynamic ropes from 9.9 to 11 mm.
